The conclusions recognise innovation as a strategic priority for the sport sector, emphasising that sport innovation can enhance citizen participation, boost socio-economic development, and address evolving challenges (digitalisation, sustainability, inclusion).
They call for a holistic, multi-level, cross-sectoral approach: cooperation between public authorities, sport organisations, research and industry is essential for creating resilient and future-ready sport ecosystems.

Member States are invited to promote sport-innovation initiatives (digital tools, wearables, smart infrastructure), foster networks and clusters, exchange best practices and improve measurement of sport-innovation impacts. The European Commission is asked to facilitate access to EU funding, support data collection, promote innovation-aware governance and enhance the visibility of sport’s innovation dimension. Sport organisations and movement actors are encouraged to engage in innovation, collaborate with research/industry and share knowledge to strengthen grassroots and elite levels alike.
